ABN RADIO: Is this Harun Yahya?
OKTAR BABUNA: Yes Harun Yahya is here also.
ADNAN OKTAR: Assalamunalaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu
ABN RADIO: Assalamunalaykum Harun Yahya. We are honored to have you on our show; it is very great to listen to you and to talk to you. Sorry about the timing. This is the time we have. First of all, I want to ask you, I have your biography and I have read your books also. How did you decide to explain your ideas, how did you begin your work?
ADNAN OKTAR:Emri bin maruf, nehyel münker, Allah commands us to avoid evil and enjoin what is good. Every Muslim has a duty to do that. I fulfill Allah’s command as a religious observance. My work is a command from Allah, like praying, fasting or giving alms. It is work that every Muslim must do.
ABN RADIO: My question was not about that. I was asking how when you are growing up, I have read, you did not grow up in a religious environment. Can you explain what gave you the strength to do that, what made you begin working against these ideologies?
ADNAN OKTAR: Yes, when I was a child, in 1971, the level of belief in Creation was as low as 10%-15%. Eighty-five percent believed in Darwinism, I realized that. At that time communism was widely prevalent in Turkey. Communist thinking and freemasonry were rapidly growing stronger, and I saw that Darwinism, which supports the theory of conflict, at the heart of all oppression, evil, anarchy and terror. I strove against that danger with all my might and thus began my work. I first became active in ’83, and began working there. I then began my anti-Darwinist, anti-communist and anti-masonic activities with books, CDs and magazines, and began telling people of the truths of the Qur’an and signs leading to faith.
ABN RADIO: Something about your political views. What is the agenda of the Turkish Islamic Union? What does the union do? Also, what do you think about the Islamic Conference?
ADNAN OKTAR: The Islamic Conference is a highly select organization, but it will never be strong enough to bring about Islamic Union. The Turkish-Islamic Union is a worldwide Islamic union that will come about under Turkish leadership, with the support of the Turkic states and with all the Turkic states supporting Turkey. The states in this union will preserve their integrity and notional borders and own regimes. Countries that wish to be laic will remain laic, and those that do not will maintain whatever beliefs they hold. But what will actually predominate is love, peace, brotherhood, friendship, art, virtue, alliance, goodness and beauty. By Allah’s leave, it is Hazrat Mahdi (as) who will bring this about. Hazrat Mahdi (as) has arrived. Great progress has been made toward Turkish-Islamic Union, and is continuing before the eyes of the world. The whole world is witnessing it. Few people believed me when I first said it, but we are now almost at the endgame. All the portents of Hazrat Mahdi (as) set out by our Prophet (saas) have come about. The coming of Hazrat Messiah is also imminent. Armenia will also be in this union, and our Orthodox brothers will be totally at ease. Our Jewish brothers and Israel will be at ease. They will live in freedom, peace and happiness in the lands promised to Muslims and referred to in the Qur’an. All Muslims, Christians and Jews will enjoy true friendship and brotherhood, insha’Allah.
ABN RADIO: So what you are saying is that the Mahdi (as) is already here. Where do you think he is right now, and why don’t you call it an Islamic Union rather than a Turkish Islamic Union? Because when you say Turkish Islamic Union, you give the dominance of one Muslim country or the others. Why not call it a Muslim Union? What is wrong with that? And if Mahdi (as) is already here, where do you think he is right now?
ADNAN OKTAR: In the light of statements by Said Nursi and the hadith, Hazrat Mahdi (as) is currently in Istanbul. There are 8 hadith about it, to the best of my memory. It is also clear from statements by Said Nursi that this is how it will be. It is clear that Muslims will be brothers. Our Prophet (saas) says: “There is no superiority of Persian over Arab, or Arab over Persian. Superiority lies in takwa alone.” What is being referred to here is the courage, fortitude, moral virtue, warmth, hospitality, self-sacrifice and heroism of the Turkish nation. That is how it was in Ottoman times. They performed great services for the world as a Turkish-Islamic Union. Since Turkey is now the natural leader of the Islamic world, I say it will come about by Turkey and the Turkic states joining together. But not in the sense of any superiority of race or blood or genetics. There is a de fact state of affairs, and our Prophet (saas) says that Hazrat Mahdi’s (as) troops and army will come from among the Turks. That is quite explicit in the hadith. And that is how things stand now. Because Hazrat Mahdi (as) will have the sacred relics with him. And the sacred relics are in Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. In the Topkapı museum. We can see from the hadith that the Turkish nation is charged with a duty in all respects, insha’Allah.
ABN RADIO: Let me ask you, you think Hz Mahdi is going to appear soon and he is going to appear in Turkey, in Istanbul, right?
ADNAN OKTAR: Hazrat Mahdi (as) has appeared. He is not going to appear, he is here now.
ABN RADIO: You said he is now here, right?
ABN RADIO: Can we know his name? How do we know? If I ask you now that he has appeared, who is Mahdi (as)?
ADNAN OKTAR: I have not seen Hazrat Mahdi (as) yet, but I think he has a follower preparing the way for him. But the lightning is flashing, the thunder is bursting and the winds are blowing, and we can see it from these. A heavy rain is coming; in other words, Hazrat Mahdi (as) has arrived, and his coming will soon be established and visible. Because all the other portents concerning Hazrat Mahdi (as) have come about. Oktar can cite you a few, insha’Allah.
OKTAR BABUNA: There are more than 150 signs stated in the hadith, they all happened. Some of them for example; in the hadith, our Prophet Muhammad (saas) stated that there will be a bloody attack on Kaaba, and that happened in 1979. Our Prophet (saas) stated that the flow of the river Euphrates would stop. And that happened in 1975. The occupation of Afghanistan was stated in the hadith and was realized in 1979. Iran- Iraq war was stated in the hadith and that happened in 1980. A smoke and fire covers the sky, and that happened by the explosion of the largest oil tanker in Istanbul Independenta in 1979. Eclipses of the Moon and the Sun 15 days apart and in the month of Ramadan as a sign of appearance of Hazrat Mahdi (as) and that happened in 1981 and 1982 in the month of Ramadan and 15 days apart eclipses of the Moon and the Sun. And emergence of a comet was stated, Halley comet passed by in 1986. And also appearance of a two tailed comet was stated in the hadith and as you know Lulin comet appeared this year in February in 2009. A sign from the Sun and that was realized in 1996 as a great explosion in the Sun.
ABN RADIO: Ok. We can read these from the website right?
ABN RADIO: Let me ask about the theory of Darwinism. Brother Harun Yahya was the first Muslim scholar to confront Darwinism. They found these skeletons of these very ancient human beings and they say there is no question about it. Let me ask how effective Darwinism is in Muslim countries? Are Muslim countries employed by the theory of Darwinism? Is Harun Yahya trying to communicate with the educational system of these countries to present his ideas and refute those ancient theories?
ADNAN OKTAR: They devastated Islamic countries with Darwinism in their time, and fragmented Muslims. They spread racism among Muslims and even encourages sectarian differences. They set Muslims against one another. That was a method of Darwinism’s. Iraq, Syria, Libya, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, just about all countries, were given over to socialist administrations. Egypt was also surrendered to socialist, communist, Darwinist administrations. But our great anti-Darwinist counter-attack over the last 10 years has knocked Darwinism off its feet. They never imagined they would be dealt such a blow. They have now been routed. There is a huge panic in Europe. You can easily follow this if you look at the foreign press. There are reports of that kind in the foreign press today. They are in a state of panic, wondering how to put things right, how to stop this progress. But it is impossible to halt this reality. More than 250 million fossils all prove Creation. But there is not a single fossil of the kind Darwinists talk about. It is scientifically impossible for a protein to come into being spontaneously. We have hundreds of proofs of this. The sudden advances in paleontology, biomathematics and all branches of science, and the wonderful information provided by the electron microscope, have literally placed Darwinists in a state of shock. And Darwinism is now in a coma. Alhamdulillah.
ABN RADIO: OK. My next part of the question was; did he communicate with the Islamic countries’ departments of education? And did he attempt to change it if he thinks this is wrong, to change the syllabus, to remove Darwinism from their syllabus?
ADNAN OKTAR: They can keep it if they want to. But after Darwinism has collapsed on broadcasts on the Internet, television and radio, they will be humiliated in the eyes of the nation if they still try to espouse Darwinism. Since they cannot look people in the eyes and spout lies they will have to eliminate it. That humiliation is not going to fool anyone. They will not be strong enough. Because they have been devastated.
Those who have been devastated are those who came out with the lies of Darwinism. His followers are wretched, feeble people, of course. I am enlightening them. I keep warning them to stay away from these lies and ruses. You will soon see that they have all disappeared, insha’Allah. This horrible plague that has ruined the world will be lifted. Darwinism led to deaths of 350 million people. Freemasonry, the power that organized World Wars I and II, used Darwinism as it slaughtered people. More than a million people were crippled. Hundreds, thousands of cities were ruined. Millions of children were left to starve and orphaned. Love, affection, compassion and friendship were extracted from people’s hearts. That is the system of the antichrist (dajjal) of the End Times. That is the antichrist, and he is here. But the system of the Mahdi (as) is now eliminating it from the face of the earth. We are striving very hard on this subject as the vanguard, the followers of Hazrat Mahdi (as). Thanks be to Allah.
ABN RADIO: Do you think the Mahdi (as) is doing this? Are we going like from backwards to forward rather than to forward? You don’t know where the Mahdi (as) is. You know that he is in Turkey, you say so, and then you don’t know who he is and don’t have a direct communication of speaking with him. Then you say you are a student of the Mahdi (as). And you also say Darwinism is also part of education. It is a little bit confusing. Can you please explain? Because I feel like brother Harun Yahya has an idea who the Mahdi (as) is, according to him, and where he is.
ADNAN OKTAR: There is no question of nobody doing anything about Darwinism before Hazrat Mahdi (as). Bediuzzaman Said Nursi says that Hazrat Mahdi’s (as) first task is to eliminate Darwinism and materialism from the face of the earth and that the system of the antichrist exists. That was in the 1920s and 1930s when he said that. He says in his works that Hazrat Mahdi (as) who will appear in the future will eliminate Darwinism from the earth, that he will finish Darwinism, the source of anarchy and disorder. I am acting as a forerunner of Hazrat Mahdi (as). There is no question of Hazrat Mahdi’s (as) students and vanguard not helping him. In other words, Hazrat Mahdi (as) will not work all alone. He will work with his followers and vanguard. I am his humble student and forerunner. We are preparing the way for him. Said Nursi also describes himself as “his humble soldier.” “I am not Hazrat Mahdi (as) but I am preparing the way for Hazrat Mahdi (as),“ he says. I am not Hazrat Mahdi, either. But I am preparing the ground for him.
ABN RADIO: OK. So preparing the ground now to help. OK. Now there is war and terrorism going on, and there is a situation in Pakistan. Muslims and people are dying. What then will this Mahdi movement do? Like pioneering in Darwinism is fine, but what if something is being done by the movement of Mr. Harun Yahya? It suggests that this adversity is the reason for what is happening now. And is this any solution for people in the Muslim world and the world in general?
ADNAN OKTAR: Darwinists are continuing to apply the ideas of Lenin, Stalin, Hitler and even Mussolini. Stalin, Lenin, Mussolini and Hitler were Darwinists and explicitly stated that they drew their ideas and philosophies from Darwinism. They maintained in their books and works that there is constant conflict in the universe, that man can only progress through war, that war in the world is essential, and that anarchy and terror are indispensible. They have also injected uninformed Muslims with the same idea. They have taught them that conflict, anarchy and terror are essential. They have educated them in America, Britain and European countries and given them a terrorist, anarchist spirit. But Islam is to be spread through love, brotherhood, peace, reason and science. It is Hazrat Mahdi (as) and the Prophet Jesus (as) who will do that. The advent of Hazrat Mahdi (as), together with the Prophet Jesus (as), is imminent, insha’Allah. The Messiah will return in 15-20 years’ time, insha’Allah. We will see the Messiah. Said Nursi says that when Hazrat Mahdi (as) comes he will not know who he is. The Messiah will not know, either. He says his close followers will recognize him through the light of faith. Insha’Allah, Hazrat Mahdi (as) and the Messiah will eliminate irreligion from the face of the earth through their struggle. This century will be the century of the rule of Islam. Our Prophet (saas) says the life of the world will extend for 7000 years. He says that 5600 have passed in the hadith, in Suyuti’s hadith. Subtract 5600 from 7000 and we are left with 1400 years. Everything will be over and done with between 1400 and 1500 (Islamic calendar), insha’Allah. We are now in the year 1430. There is no other dating for Hazrat Mahdi (as). We can see from all the portents that Hazrat Mahdi (as) has come. Because if you smell the perfume of a rose, there must be a rose nearby, and if you smell the scent of violets, there must be a violet close at hand. And if there is a pleasant environment, the entrance to a palace, then Hazrat Mahdi (as) must be there. This means we are in the age of Hazrat Mahdi (as) according to the hadith and the portents. Insha’Allah.
