Christian defenders of Creation have for years been claiming that the Earth is 6000 years old. Darwinists, who imagined that this played right into their hands, have recently been dealt a new body blow. Adnan Oktar’s (Harun Yahya) stating in his works that the data show that the Earth is 4.5 billion years old and his showing, with supporting evidence, that the life on it is the work of Almighty Allah, was one of the heaviest blows dealt to Darwinism.
Conferences on evolution held recently by world famous Darwinist professors have all been built on this huge defeat. For years, Darwinists regarded the “6000-year-old Earth” claim as one they could easily digest with the fossils dating back millions of years in their possession. They claimed that the defendants of Creation were defeated right from that point. This claim was heralded as one of the greatest proofs confirming the truth of Darwinist fraud. Christian Creationists who maintain that the Earth is 6000 years old are defeated the moment they make such a statement, no matter how powerful the evidence they possess against Darwinism. Indeed, these claims have led to the scientific facts they brought up against evolution not being evaluated properly. Because the idea of “6000 years” conflicts with the scientific facts. It is because of this huge inconsistency that certain Christian Creationists in Europe and America have always been unsuccessful and passive.
Christian Creationists accept this statement as it is in the Gospel while making no interpretation of it. But the fact is that, analyzed on the basis of the proofs of Creation on Earth, the reference to an Earth of 6000 years is used in a very different sense. Creation in six days also appears in the Qur’an:
Your Lord is Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth in six days and then settled Himself firmly on the Throne... (Surat Al-A‘raf, 54)
He directs the whole affair from heaven to earth. Then it will again ascend to Him on a Day whose length is a thousand years by the way you measure. (Surat as-Sajda, 5)
Taking the reference to six days in the one verse together with the idea that one day is a thousand year from the other verse, the result is a reference to the Earth having a life of 6000 years. But what needs to be considered here is not the literal meanings of these expressions, but their deeper and figurative ones. Because the reference that our Lord makes to Creation in six days actually stands for “periods.” Bearing in mind the relativity of time and the speed at which time has passed since the Big Bang to make a calculation, the reference to 6 days in the verse in fact points to a period of billions of years. Calculating every day of Creation in terms of Earth time, the following picture emerges:
Looked at in terms of since time began, the 1st day (1st age) of Creation lasted 24 hours. But this equals 8 billion years in terms of how we perceive time on Earth.
• The 2nd day of Creation (2nd age) lasted 24 hours. But this lasted half as long as the previous day, according to our perception of time. In other words, 4 billion years.
• The 3rd day (3rd age) lasted half as long as the second. In other words, 2 billion years.
• The 4th day (4th age) lasted 1 billion years.
• The 5th day (5th age) lasted 500 million years.
• And the 6th day (6th age) lasted 250 million years.
• Conclusion: The six days, or six ages, of Creation, added up together in terms of Earth time, produce a total of 15.75 billion years. This figure is in agreement with modern estimations.

Darwinists Are Unable to Oppose Adnan Oktar
As we summarize here in brief, the Creation in six days that Allah reveals in the Holy Books gives the age of the Earth that we already know scientifically. In the light of this, the intellectual struggle against Darwinism waged with fossils dating back millions of years has stunned Darwinists. Not a single Darwinist is at present able to stand up and oppose Adnan Oktar, who has shown the whole world scientific proof that Creation is an absolute reality. They are unable to issue any statements against it, and are quite unable to defend the illogical accounts they used to supply.
Adnan Oktar’s invitations to face-to-face debates with world renowned Darwinists have so far gone unanswered. Because all Darwinists are very well aware that Adnan Oktar will beat them. Adnan Oktar has also frequently reiterated his offer of giving a large reward to anyone producing a single transitional fossil, but that challenge has not been taken up by Darwinist circles, either. The reason for this is that Darwinists themselves they have been defeated in the face of Adnan Oktar, or rather in the face of our Lord’s sublime Creation. Darwinists no longer have a single false means of defending this ruined and disgraced theory. Darwinists never of course dreamed that the 21st century would be one of such a defeat for them, and now they are unwillingly watching this hug collapse take place.
Our Almighty Lord says in one verse:
Glory be to the Lord of the heavens and the earth, the Lord of the Throne, beyond what they describe. (Surat az-Zukhruf, 82)
Adnan Oktar’s Views on the Subject from His Interviews

ADNAN OKTAR: This subject is of course one that Darwinists wanted to use against Muslims, though one on which they were badly mistaken. It is true that Christians and Muslims espouse this, but in the Qur’an, Allah says that time is relative. In other words, Almighty Allah says that one day for us is different to a day for Allah. We perceive His day as an age. In other words, six ages. This may be 20 billion years in the sight of Allah, or 15 billion years, or anything else, depending. In other words, Allah left it for us to investigate. But He says there are specific years in His sight. But that we must investigate and find the years He is referring to. But Christians and Jews give a very specific date, the classic 6000 years we are familiar with. And that has played right into Darwinists’ hands. Darwinists said this has nothing to do with science at all, nor even belief, and that these people were on entirely the wrong path. But then they found themselves facing Harun Yahya. He said: “Come to your senses, 100 million fossils have been unearthed, 100 million.” They have never changed, frogs are still frogs, cats are cats and dogs are dogs. They are all the same. They are like photocopies. There are no changes. First you have to account for that. How could 100 million fossils be unchanged? But we heard not a sound.
Now, can you produce a single piece of evidence to strengthen and corroborate your claims? In order to encourage them I said I would give a reward of 10 trillion Turkish lira. You produce just one transitional fossil, just one that corroborates Darwin’s claim. Again, not a peep. Because they themselves know perfectly well that their is a wretched and mendacious theory. But when they saw there was someone they could not deceive, they panicked. Tens of thousands of them all panicked. France, Germany and Denmark rose up. I will show you statements from the foreign press in a while. There is an air of total panic. They imagined there was no opposition and that they could do what they liked. But then I stood up and they panicked ... They were easily able to stand up to Christianity. They were easily able to ride roughshod over Christian priests and the like. Because they really could not have come up with powerful ideas. Their ideas were very weak. If you say the Earth was created in six days, you have already lost. Is 6000 years at all possible? Looked at in technical terms, is 6000 years the slightest bit possible? Living things have been turned into stone. Can that happen in just 6000 years? They have been petrified, turned into rock. But, thanks be to Allah, I have revealed everything they kept hidden. For one thing, concealing fossils has come to an end. There have been fossil exhibitions all over Istanbul and all over Turkey. That stratagem is now over. They have been held in America and elsewhere. It is so delightful to expose their deceptions, to demolish their false pride. By Allah’s leave there can be no escape for them from me now. I mean, I will hound them wherever they go.

ADNAN OKTAR: Jews, Christians and our Muslim brothers all gave up in the face of Darwinism. They say the universe is just 6000 years old. And that puts an end to it right there. Because there are petrified fossils. These are obviously millions of years old, not 6000. The moment you say 6000 years, you are defeated. They will chew you up and spit you out. There were Creationists in America, but Darwinists were easily able to rout them. Because the moment you talk about 6000 years, you have had it. They put a bit of stone before you. How can that be 6000 years old? But they collapsed when I took a deep breath and stood up against them like Battal Gazi. They were stunned. They never imagined anyone would oppose them with 250 million fossils. Nobody knew that not a single transitional fossil existed in the world. In order to convince them, I said I would immediately hand over 10 trillion Turkish lira if they would bring out a single transitional fossil. That is a very explicit way of doing things, and it put the matter to rest. There are no transitional fossils. I can have them count those 250 million fossils one by one. It is crystal clear. I clearly prove that protein cannot form by chance. But they can never prove that protein can form spontaneously. They cannot account for a single amino acid, let alone protein. So the matter is therefore over and done with in all respects. Christians need us now, and Jews and our Muslim brothers.
