OKTAR BABUNA: We have the transcript of an interview given by Sheikh Nazim Kibrisi in 1987 at which you were present.
ADNAN OKTAR: I went to pay my respects after leaving prison, that must be it, yes.
OKTAR BABUNA: Yes that is the transcript. Sheikh Nazim says; "I do say May Almighty Allah give you the rank and station of Joseph (pbuh). Do you know this gentleman?" He is saying this by referring to our Hodja. "Do you recognize this gentleman?" And there is a lady there and she says, "Yes." Sheikh Nazim asks, "Who is he?" The lady says; "Isn't he Adnan Hodja? I recognize him from his picture." And Mr. Oktar, says "thank you". Sheikh Nazim continues; "I pray that He will give you both that rank and that station. Almighty Allah has ordained seclusion for our brother Mr.Adnan to clothe him in the manifestation of the Prophet Joseph for the prayer. And by doing this, some would be enough-
ADNAN OKTAR: By completion, the word is completion. Developing, a spiritual completion.
OKTAR BABUNA: And by completion of this, some would be enough, he had given him a becoming authorization.
ADNAN OKTAR: What he means by seclusion is the prison, Allah had placed him in a solitary confinement in prison, where he developed a spiritual station. He says that he received a spiritual station like the Prophet Joseph(pbuh), just like it would be in a place where one would go through suffering and trial . Insha'Allah, I regard this as his prayer, May Allah accept as prays for insha'Allah.
OKTAR BABUNA: "We hope that there are immaculate services Mr. Adnan will perform in the future, masha'Allah."
ADNAN OKTAR: Look, he says that in '87. He is such a person of prophecy, masha'Allah.
OKTAR BABUNA: "With the secret of being a man close to Allah, apart from what is obvious and others, there are services that he will be doing and that he is doing now with the secrets of being a holy man..”
ADNAN OKTAR: He says I am a man close to Allah. And that I act with the secret of that guidance. That is his good opinion, may Allah be pleased with him. Yes?
OKTAR BABUNA: "We congratulate him. He has been written as one of those with forbearance. A step further than the forbearing ones, he has been written as one of those who enjoy the approval of Allah. Approval has been given to him, as well."
ADNAN OKTAR: He says "Allah is insha'Allah pleased with him" Insha’Allah, may Allah be pleased with me, we do seek Almighty Allah's approval. He is just expressing his good opinion indicating that.
OKTAR BABUNA: Insha'Allah:, "Personally, I think about this on myself, I see that it was not something that I could have born myself. But he, masha'Allah was young at the time, he completed that service. Such slanders sometimes befall on people close to Allah, like military service, but it did not harm you." Masha'Allah.
ADNAN OKTAR: He says; I regard you as one of the people that are close Allah. I am saying that you are a man close to Allah, he says. Of course this is his own good opinion stemming from his love. In other words, he says that through your hardships in prison and the mental hospital you have achieved a rank insha'Allah. That is his good opinion. 'You have suffered hardship', he says. Yes and then...
OKTAR BABUNA: And you reply; "May Allah bestow His approval my dear Hodja, all with your prayers and protection, insha'Allah." Then Sheikh Nazim continues: "Estagfirullah, that is all in the past. You have now been clothed a rank in the presence of the prophet. In this Sacred Muharram, this will unify you both in appearance and in spirit. Both spiritual soul and a spirituality have been bestowed on you, and an inspiration and understanding have been opened up to you, and with that inspiration do not concern yourself with what goes on around."
ADNAN OKTAR: He tells me not to concern myself with people but to continue with my work. Yes..
OKTAR BABUNA: "When you read the Qur'an, read it with deliberation. Read every one of the verse of the Qur'an you will peruse, with total ablution. This is addressed to you."
ADNAN OKTAR: After he said that I perform every prayer with total ablution. Look, I have performed every prayer with total ablution ever since 1987. Five times a day, insha'Allah. Carry on.
OKTAR BABUNA: You then say, "Insha'Allah, my hodja" Sheikh Nazim says: "Read them once but with full ablution, and in a quiet place and standing up. Hold the Holy Qur'an in a high place."
ADNAN OKTAR: Look, I do just as he said. I have a special room and I do read it standing up. I have been doing the same thing for years. When Allah inspires information in me, I write it down. That is how Sheikh Nazim told me to do, and I do it.
OKTAR BABUNA: Sheikh Nazim; "Keep it high-up, so you can read it standing up."
ADNAN OKTAR: I do keep it high-up, at chest height, that is how I read at home.
OKTAR BABUNA: Then you say, "insha'Allah." Sheikh Nazim; "and you will stand before Him, as if in the presence of the sultan. You will perform full ablution before coming there, and after performing two sets of namaz you will recite the Confession of Faith and recite Estafurillah 100 times and then you beg permission and recite the Qur'an."
ADNAN OKTAR: He says you must read it. Yes.
OKTAR BABUNA: "Recite it for a quarter of an hour if you wish, or a half hour. You will read it according to the inspiration in your heart. And you will then see the inspiration bestowed on your heart. Because in the light of this seclusion, a companion has been bestowed on your heart, as a blessing, bestowed with inspiration. And you will not make any bad wish saying; "they have shut me up here, for those who did that", "they have judged me, for those who did that", "they have accused me, for those who did that"
ADNAN OKTAR: He tells me not to say any bad word for the people who had imprisoned me and to the judges and not to imprecate. I have always wished them well, you know. I ask Allah's approval on them.
OKTAR BABUNA: Yes Masha'Allah. "One's self would wish to stay angry with them, you will reject that thought."
ADNAN OKTAR: He says that it is human nature to be angry with them and wish them ill. But he warns me not to do that. Insha'Allah, and I always pray for the best for them. I pray for the best for those who imprisoned me and who sentenced me. That is what Sheikh Nazim is saying. He says this is what the heart desires, that it desires anger and vexed words. But he warns me not to do so. And I indeed always treat them with affection.
OKTAR BABUNA: Yes you really do so, Masha'Allah. Sheikh Nazim then says "and in this way, there is an obligation upon you. You will read the Qur'an with nobody beside you, standing as if in the presence of the sultan in your cell, holding the Qur'an as if on a high table. Read one, two or three parts, as you wish or if you wish read a complete portion. Then there is a blessing for you, a spiritual blessing will be given to you as an award. That is inspiration, and you will not lose that inspiration when it comes to you. Once you complete that reading, kneel down. Take pen and paper and record what is born in your heart. That will improve and develop."
ADNAN OKTAR: In other words, "the more you read the Qur'an, the more Allah will inspire you with the depth of the Qur'an, but write them down on a paper so you won't forget. You will then collect them into a book," says Sheikh Nazim. Yes.
OKTAR BABUNA: "It will develop, it will expand, not narrowed and not reduced. By this means you will render a great service to especially those young people, with a new opinion or understanding of the Qur'an."
ADNAN OKTAR: In other words, he says; "you will expound the Qur'an most perfectly, you will explicate it very well. You will render a service to mankind and young people."
OKTAR BABUNA: "Since this is the secret of being close to Allah, I am charged with telling you this, today. You have guidance, since you are one of those close to Allah. However now it will be like a rose bud, and neither its color, shape nor scent are yet established."
ADNAN OKTAR: He is saying " you are Allah’s saint". But, insha'Allah he is expressing a good opinion, and insha’Allah I can become one. But he says you are still like a bud, and that you will open up and grow later. " Right?
OKTAR BABUNA: Yes, you will open up like a flower. "Those will be explicit at the time of that opening. That is the state Mr. Adnan is in now, a closed one. Within the space of 24 hours once a man close to Allah, once another man close to Allah and another close to Allah..
ADNAN OKTAR: Yes, he says " you are like a tiny rose bud. When it opens people will understand you. But this will take time." Right? "But you will grow slowly," he says. "You will gradually open up. And when you are fully opened up, people will recognize you," he says. He means to say they will know you from your service, goodness, moral virtues and lovableness. Our holy sultan is just harboring a good opinion. Yes.
OKTAR BABUNA: Masha'Allah, “approval came from 3 saints, who considered his heart. Had they not considered like this while he was in the prison and while he was in the hospital, he would not be able to come out like this."
ADNAN OKTAR: "3 great saints had considered his heart, and they prayed for him," he says. One is those is himself, insha'Allah. Otherwise he could not have come out normal. Because nobody could remain 10 minutes, 10 hours where I was, let alone 9 or 10 months.
I was held among 300 mental patients. Cries and screams and people trying to kill themselves, slashing their hands and faces, smashing their heads against the walls. It was like a horror film, and I spent 10 months there. "You could never have come out sane and healthy from there," he says. "3 great saints had prayed for you," he says. Yes, carry on. Insha'Allah
OKTAR BABUNA: Insha'Allah "Had they not considered like this, during this time in hospital and in prison, he could not have come out like this. The straits of that dungeon would have wrecked him. But it did not, they didn't abandon him to be wrecked. And his condition now in faith and station is very different to how it was when he entered that place of seclusion." Masha'Allah.
ADNAN OKTAR: See, and you say that hardship is not a good thing. What does he say?
OKTAR BABUNA: He says he is very different now to when he went in.
ADNAN OKTAR: He says he has become more perfect. He has improved, he says. For that reason you are to see the wisdom there clearly, insha'Allah.
PRESENTER: There is wisdom in all things.
ADNAN OKTAR: Of course. Yes.
PRESENTER: I have a question on that subject.
ADNAN OKTAR: Ask Oktar.
OKTAR BABUNA: Estagfirullah.
PRESENTER: No, but this is addressed to you.
ADNAN OKTAR: Is it for me? Okay then
PRESENTER: I wouldn't want to be disrespectful to you.
OKTAR BABUNA: Estagfirullah, of course.
PRESENTER: Yaman Aldag, from Adiyaman, read a quotation from Sheikh Nazim in which he said: "I do not advise anyone to pick on Adnan Hodja. I declare that disaster will befall on those who would do so after this point." He says Sheikh Nazim continuously state that he likes you very much and he wonders what your feelings are towards Sheikh Nazim.
ADNAN OKTAR: You are such a nice and sweet person, it is hard to express that. Masha'Allah. Hand it to me.. Yes, this appeared in daily Günes at that time, 1987. Sheikh Nazim told this to the journalists; "I do not advise anyone to pick on Adnan Hodja". Or he might have said this at a meeting on a tape, I don’t quite remember. He said " I declare that disaster will befall on those who would do so after this point." He said: "Knowledge comes to me from the spiritual world," he said. "Look, I am telling you..." he said. And it is true. Allah has sent disasters on everyone who fought me and Allah removed their peace of mind. Allah closed their minds, made them breft of foresight and sent them sickness and many troubles. Insha'Allah. I did not pray against them, but Allah sent scourges down on them. Let society think about it. Allah sent scourges down on each and everyone.
OKTAR BABUNA: Without exception.
ADNAN OKTAR: Yes, without exception. But I always pray for the best for them. Almighty Allah says in one verse; " Even if you asked forgiveness for them seventy times, Allah still would not forgive them. " There is a verse stating this. May be that is what happens. It might be that, Allah does something like that, I don't know.
