PRESENTER: Hello and thank you for making time to speak to us today.
ADNAN OKTAR: Hello. I am delighted to meet you, too. Thank you for that.
PRESENTER: We thank you so much too. Firstly then, in the courtesy of the One Legacy Radio we invite you to address us on the issue of Muslims living in the west with your thoughts and advice.
ADNAN OKTAR: Muslims in the West live side by side with our Christian and Jewish brothers. The most important thing here is for Muslims to scrupulously avoid conflicts among themselves stemming from differences of school or sect. They must hold hands, literally be brothers to one another and love one another, they must pray for the best for one another, speak good words, and respect, protect and watch over one another. This is Allah’s command. Otherwise, Allah says they will be weakened. He says they will be weakened physically and psychologically. It is a sin for Muslims to constantly criticize one another. They must fulfill this command of Allah’s, this obligation. Allah tells them, I take refuge in Allah from the Satan, “hold fast to the rope of Allah all together, and do not separate”. This is Allah’s order. He says in verse “Allah loves those who fight in His Way in ranks like well-built walls”. He says in verses how He loves those who unite together like well-built walls, who struggle together, shoulder to shoulder for His approval. Muslims must punctiliously obey this commandment of Allah’s. They must scrupulously avoid any opposition to one another based on divisions between Sunni and Shiite or other sects. They must treat Christians and Jews with affection. Because when the Prophet Jesus (as) returns, the whole world will in any case be Muslim. There is little time left. Only about 10 years. We are on the eve of a festival, on the eve of a wedding. Muslims must embrace one another and make joyous preparations for this.

ADNAN OKTAR: I am amazed by the way that Darwinism has to be treated has if it were a scientific fact. Darwinism is an unbelievable disgrace. It is a huge miracle the way they have deceived the world in this way for 150 years. Satan has mocked people, and this is all an unbelievable trick. It really is inconceivable. It is a huge miracle the way that professors, associate professors and people who have studied at the universities manage to believe in a pagan philosophy, a pagan belief such as Darwinism that has absolutely nothing to do with science. I could not have been more stunned if people at the universities had worshipped idols made out of stone. Because here they are worshipping atoms. They believe the atoms possess the mind of Allah. Even though they know it is impossible for a protein to form spontaneously they still imagine the atom can do it by chance, miraculously. There has to be another protein in order for a protein to form, many proteins. It is therefore impossible for protein to form spontaneously. There are 300 million fossils that prove Creation. Not 3,000 or 300,000, but 300 million. But they still continue to defend this heretical philosophy, putting one lie on top of another. The idea has been completely overcome among ordinary people. It is only left in universities and its own bastions. It is imprisoned inside buildings, in other words. Its dead body is being preserved in universities at the moment, the body of Darwin. Insha’Allah, we will also get rid of that body. Darwinism will be completely consigned to history.

Welcome back. Wherever you may be tuning in One Legacy Radio Live. I welcome you to a featured live show with our guest brother Harun Yahya, acclaimed scholar and academic, from Istanbul Turkey. Back to brother Adnan for the answers you have given to us in our previous part. Now we have another subject, which is another issue affecting Muslims in the west. The terrorist attacks of 9/11. Brother Harun, please discuss your thoughts on how Islam denounces terrorism.
ADNAN OKTAR: Islam condemns terror right through the Qur’an and advises love, affection and compassion in the face of it. We see this in every page of the Qur’an. Freedom of ideas is inherent in the Qur’an. Those who wish to believe, and those who wish not to, do not. There is no pressure in the Qur’an. Allah makes this clear in another verse, I take refuge from the satan in Allah, “You have your religion and I have my religion”. “There is no compulsion where the religion is concerned” That verse of the Qur’an is crystal clear. The reason why terror emerged was that communism wanted to survive in some form after its collapse. It thought it could survive in the form of Islam. It adopted another mask, in other words. Communism sometimes wears a fascist mask, and sometimes presents a Christian or Jewish appearance. It wants to survive. Communism will rule the world in the run-up to Doomsday. But since we are in the age of Hazrat Mahdi (as), Islam will rule the world in this century. We will see this great beauty and glory within the next 10-15 years, insha’Allah. When one looks at those organizing terror in the world and those acting in the name of Islamic terror, one sees they have all receive a Darwinist, materialist, atheist education. And they are all great admirers of Che, Marx, Lenin, Stalin and Trotsky. They are people who have grown up constantly reading communist books and with a huge admiration for them. They are trying to equate this with Islam. These people also have a bit of an inferiority complex. Since they have no faith, or weak faith, some of them, they try to combine communism with Islam and come up with a new model. But the fact is that neither Abdülkadir Geylani, nor Imam Rabbani nor Shah Nakshibend nor Said Nursi ever espoused terror and violence. Our Prophet (saas) is the most absolute proof of this. There was never any terror or violence in the life of our Prophet (saas). Our Prophet (saas) always totally opposed this abnormal way of behaving. We do not see it among the Companions, either, nor among his followers. It was therefore invented subsequently. It is an ugly aspersion they are trying to lay at Muslims’ door. But we have exposed that aspersion, and it no longer fools anyone.

Now another subject that we want to touch on today is, Muslims believe that Jesus (as) is a beloved Prophet of Islam and both Muslims and Christians believe that Jesus (as) will return. Let me ask brother Adnan your thoughts about this issue.
ADNAN OKTAR: Our Prophet (saas) has described the portents of the return of the Prophet Jesus (as) in great detail. There are some 150 portents. The portents of the coming of Hazrat Mahdi (as) as the same as those for the Prophet Jesus (as). Because they will both come at the same time. The stopping of the waters of the Euphrates, lunar and solar eclipses at 15-day intervals during the month of Ramadan and all the other signs have all come about. We can see from this that Hazrat Mahdi (as) has already come and Jesus the Messiah (as) has come. Jesus the Messiah (as) is currently active politically in the world. Hazrat Mahdi (as) is working in the area of faith. Bediuzzaman Said Nursi says this. Hazrat Mahdi (as) will not be concerned with politics, he will concentrate on matters of faith initially. When the Prophet Jesus (as) comes, he will immediately embark on world politics. We can sense the faith-related activities of Hazrat Mahdi (as) in the world, and we can also sense the Messiah’s political activities. In the very near future, in 10 or 15 years, we will openly see both Hazrat Mahdi (as) and the Prophet Jesus (as). But it is very important for our brothers to feel brotherhood for one another and to take care to love one another. They must pray to Allah every day. They must cling to and strive for this aim.

Now let’s talk about a more recent phenomenon, facebook. What is your opinion about facebook? What do you think we can do using facebook?
ADNAN OKTAR: It is a whole district, a whole land in which Muslims can meet and speak to one another. I regard it as a community made up of lots of homes. It is a place for Muslims to preach and wage jihad. It is a very great blessing, by means of which they will tell others about Allah, moral values, love and brotherhood. Allah has created the internet and Facebook for Muslims. These blessings have been specially provided by Allah to serve Hazrat Mahdi (as) and the Prophet Jesus (as). Muslims must make the finest use of these blessings. It means one can be every Muslim’s neighbor. One can meet, talk to and be neighbors with people one does not know. Muslims must make the very best use of this blessing.
I must also emphasize the difference between jihad and slaughter. The jihad I am referring to means striving. It is sometimes interpreted as meaning carnage, killing people, in other words. That is wrong. Jihad means striving with all one’s might to tell people about moral virtues, love and the truths of the Qur’an.

Welcome back , this is One Legacy Radio. Wherever you may be tuning in, you are listening and I am pleased to welcome you with our guest brother Harun Yahya live from Istanbul, Turkey. So, we have the pleasure of brother Harun’s thoughts on a number of issues, you can e-mail us for your questions. So, we will go into another subject. What does brother Harun think of the recent financial collapse in the world and what are your thoughts on this ?
ADNAN OKTAR: Our Prophet (saas) describes the economic crisis as something that will arise over 7 years during the time of Hazrat Mahdi (as). It began in 2007 and will continue until 2014. Leading institutions and bodies first imagined it would last 1 year. That is what they said. But I stated it would last 7 years. That is what is indicated in the Qur’an. It refers to 7 years of want. That is in Surah Yusuf. It also appear in the Torah, as 7 years. The Torah speaks of a 7-year economic crisis in the time of Hazrat Mahdi (as). The Prophet (saas) also sets this out in the hadith. There are accounts of it starting in the time of the comet Lulin. There are references to the rains stopping during that time, to reduced rainfall, and then to enormous rainfall, to people complaining about excessive rain, and to such a major phenomenon taking place during the time of Hazrat Mahdi (as). That has also happened. This economic crisis will come to an end in 2014. But the light of the system of the Mahdi (as) has begun to shine. The armor, shadow and light of the system of the Mahdi (as) have begun enfolding the world. Doomsday has been put on hold due to the blessings of Mahdism. Allah makes this clear in the hadith, through our Prophet (saas). He says that even if only 1 day remains of the life of the world, Allah will prolong that day and send Hazrat Mahdi (as). Doomsday has been halted because of Hazrat Mahdi (as), it has been put on hold. We can expect Doomsday in 1545, insha’Allah, in 2120. We expect Doomsday in 1545, according to the Islamic calendar. This economic crisis will soon come to an end. But it will be resolved through the abundance of faith, because people return to the Qur’an and adopt Qur’anic moral values. Otherwise, this disaster would have been quite great enough to bring the whole world down. Our Prophet (saas) speaks of a 7000-year calendar. There are 8 hadith in Suyuti. All 8 are completely reliable. A 7000-year world calendar. “Of this,” says the Prophet (saas), “5600 years have passed.” From this, we can see that the life span of the Ummah of Islam will end between 1400 and 1500. Doomsday may be expected after 1500, by the Islamic calendar. Indeed Said Nursi says that Doomsday will come in 1545, or 2120. But Islam will now rule in this century. Everyone will see this within the next 10 years.
PRESENTER: Thank you for sharing your opinion brother Harun Yahya. We do have a couple of more questions we want to look at from the audience that we want to complete in the rest of our time. We have a question from Chicago, “What do you think of Barack Obama and can he help change the opinion of Muslims in America?”
ADNAN OKTAR: Barack Obama is more humane, of course. He is more loving and rational; he is someone who believes in Allah. He made Darwinist statements at first, but from what I can see, he then realized that Darwinism is wrong. We can sense this from his language. He will be the Prophet Jesus (as)’ helper. He will help the Prophet Jesus (as) and be his follower. He will prepare the ground for the world dominion of Islam. But his most important duty, his current duty, is to follow the Prophet Jesus (as). Like many world leaders, he will be a follower of the Prophet Jesus (as). He will perform very useful activities for the global dominion of Islam, insha’Allah.
PRESENTER: Thank you for your opinion brother Adnan. Another question we have from Arizona. “What is your message to the Muslim youth?” I think it refers to Muslim youth in the West.
ADNAN OKTAR: Young people in the West are generally good natured, and more humane and modern, and take a closer interest in global events. They must love one another and be friends and brothers. Christian, Jew and Muslim, they must all share that love and friendship. They must not be opposed to one another. Everyone must be left free within his own faith. Everyone believes his religion is the true one. One has to respect that. But they must form an alliance and strive together on the subject of the oneness of Allah. “Allah is One,” they must say. In any case, once the Prophet Jesus (as) comes Islam will rule the whole world. Therefore, all conflicts, disputes and lovelessness will disappear from the world. Weapons will vanish. Industry will be more important than armaments, industrial products and meeting people’s needs will be more important. Arms production will cease. War and fighting will cease. All the money spent on that will therefore be handed to the poor and needy instead. There will be a wonderful abundance, plenty and justice in the world. Our Prophet (saas) has set out that this age will come in great detail in the hadith. Anyone logging onto the Harunyahya.org and harunyahya.com web sites can access thousands of references on the subject. They will find thousands of excellent articles. I particularly advise our friends to engage in detailed research and visit these sites. They can download the books free of charge. They can download all kinds of writings, books and films free of charge. May they make the most of them. But they must strongly avoid any divisions stemming from sectarian differences. Let me make that clear.
PRESENTER: Thank you brother Adnan. And it is quite really good thing especially the world we are living today. I’m going to ask two more questions, then the show will be going to be closed. First question is from California. “You are an outstanding activist and you have been active in your work for many years. Did you face any difficulties at your dawah work as you are trying to communicate your message?”
ADNAN OKTAR: These kinds of things that, I regard as blessings, are always happening to me. These are blessings from Allah. People who strive on Allah’s path always encounter such things. I have been imprisoned many times and held in a mental hospital. I was then given a Military Hospital report saying I was “sound in mind and body” and thus got out of the mental hospital. I have been tried many times, and always acquitted. I have been slandered a great deal. Nine attempts have been made on my life. One time they fired 7 shots at me in front of my house. But Allah protected me and nothing happened. These things are a great honor for me. Reasons for excitement. The fact that such blessings come from Allah is a delight for me. But the Qur’an pronounces that Muslims will encounter such hardships. Almighty Allah asks, I take refuge from satan in Allah “Or did you suppose that you would enter the Garden without facing the same as those who came before you?” Of course we will encounter difficulties, insha’Allah.
It is very delightful to talk to our worthy friends in this way. I would love to talk on until morning. But I have a live TV broadcast coming up soon. My viewers there are waiting.
