From Abu Said: Hasan ibn Ali (as) ... said: “... ALMIGHTY ALLAH WILL CONCEAL HIS BIRTH AND HIS PERSON. IN THAT WAY, NOBODY’S ALLEGIANCE WILL BE AROUND HIS NECK WHEN HE APPEARS... ALLAH WILL PROLONG HIS LIFE DURING HIS DISAPPEARANCE, AND THEN HE WILL BRING HIM INTO THE OPEN LOOKING, THROUGH HIS OWN MIGHT YOUNGER THAN 40 YEARS OF AGE and this is so all will know that Allah has power over all.”

Our Prophet (saas) has related in the hadith that Hazrat Mahdi’s (as) birth will be secret, in other words, he will be born in his own home. In addition, Hazrat Mahdi (as) will live for a long time in his home, far from people’s eyes, and will not go out among them. Hazrat Mahdi (as) will not be a member of any sect, in other words, he will have no ties to the Nakshibendi, Kadiri or any other sect. Hazrat Mahdi (as) will be above all sects. Our Prophet (saas) has also revealed that although Hazrat Mahdi (as) will be long-lived, he will still look younger than 40 when Allah causes him to appear.
