From Safvan ibn Mihran-ı Jammal: Imam Jafer-i Sadiq said: “Thanks be to Allah, when Hazrat Mahdi (as) disappears from among you, SOME IGNORANT PEOPLE FROM AMONG YOU WILL SAY : ALLAH HAS NO NEED OF ÂL-İ MUHAMMAD [HAZRAT MAHDI (AS)]. HE WILL THEN RETURN TO EARTH LIKE A STAR and will fill the earth with justice and equality in the same way it had been filled with oppression and injustice.”

When Hazrat Mahdi (as) who will come in the End Times appears, he will not be recognized immediately and will spend one part of his life in concealment, hidden away (periods in which he will be subjected to imprisonment, slander and oppression), with nobody knowing his identity. So much that Hazrat Mahdi (as) will move among people, and sit opposite them and live among them, and speak with them and live side by side with them. But people will not know the Guardian of the Age, Hazrat Mahdi, the Lord of Time, by that title. In that time, some ignorant people who take advantage of this situation and interpret the Qur’an illogically and in line with their own religious interests will make unrealistic claims saying that he will not appear in this century, even though all the portents and conditions necessary for that coming have come about and that there is no need for him to come at all. In this way they will try to cast shadow upon both coming of Hazrat Mahdi (as) and the global dominion of the moral values of Islam that will take place, by Allah’s leave, in this century. However, Hazrat Mahdi (as) will appear like a bright star and fill the world with justice and equality.
